Watford return to Vicarage Road on Saturday afternoon when AFC Bournemouth visit the home of the Hornets in the Premier League.

Walter Mazzarri’s side will look to get back to winning ways after a 2-0 defeat away to Burnley on Monday night.

Goals from Jeff Hendrick and Michael Keane secured victory for the Clarets at Turf Moor, to leave the Hertfordshire outfit placed in 11th within the standings following the loss.

The disappointment in east Lancashire brought an end to Watford’s two successive victories on the trot under the stewardship of their Italian manager.

Mazzarri had seen his men pick up wins against West Ham United at the London Stadium and Manchester United on home soil in previous weeks.

Standing in Watford’s way at the weekend are a Bournemouth outfit who recorded maximum points against Everton at the Vitality Stadium last time out.

Junior Stanislas was the match-winner for Eddie Howe’s Cherries with a long-range shot after 23 minutes, a result that moved the south-coast club up to 15th in the table.

Bournemouth have gained seven points from their last four games as they look to climb up the table having previously endured a tough opening to their second season in the division.

However, they are yet to claim maximum points on their travels so far this term, but will view the game on Saturday as a perfect opportunity to keep the momentum going from the Everton performance.

The sides last played each other in February, which concluded in a goalless stalemate at Vicarage Road.
