Name: Odion Ighalo
Position: Striker
Goal: Everton vs WATFORD – August 8, 2015

Having fired in an impressive 15 league goals in 30 appearances so far during his sensational debut spell in the Premier League, it is little surprise our contender for Watford’s Goal of the Season comes from the Nigeria international.

The 26-year-old, who has found the back of the net 17 times in all competitions so far this season, has been an imperative player at Hornets boss Quique Sanchez Flores’ disposal as Watford look likely to cement their place in the English top-flight come May having already amounted 37 points with eight games remaining.

Ighalo kicked off his goalscoring spree on the opening day of the campaign, a piercing strike that almost gave the away supporters a fairytale start to the 2015-16 term after going 2-1 ahead at Everton back in August with just seven minutes remaining.

The striker picked up the ball 30 yards out from goal, before cutting the ball back onto his right foot to fool England international John Stones, and then trick fellow defender Phil Jagielka with an additional touch to open enough just enough space to stun shot stopper Tim Howard in the Toffees goal with a powerful low drive into the far bottom corner.
