West Brom are reportedly keen on securing the signing of Spain international midfielder Ignacio Camacho during the January transfer window.

The Premier League outfit, who sit 12th in the table after last weekend’s 3-2 defeat to Leicester City, are thought to be keen on recruiting several players during the New Year period to ensure they avoid any end of season relegation fears.

The 25-year-old, who made his international debut against Germany almost a year ago, has played just 118 minutes of league action for La Liga outfit Malaga so far this season.

Camacho, who graduated through Atletico Madrid’s youth academy, is still working his way back from injury after undergoing surgery on his pelvis during pre-season.

It is understood that the defensive midfielder has a £14.8m release clause at the La Rosaleda Stadium.
