West Bromwich Albion host Swansea City at the Hawthorns tonight knowing that a win will create some breathing space between themselves and their struggling opponents.

The Baggies have not scored in their last two league games; succumbing to a 3-0 defeat at Southampton before drawing 0-0 with bottom club Aston Villa the week after.

Their fortunes were not much more prosperous in the FA Cup on Saturday either as League One side Peterborough United twice came from behind to earn a 2-2 draw and take the Midlands outfit to a replay.

Swansea have enjoyed an upturn in fortunes since Francesco Guidolin was appointed head coach, winning their last two league games which has propelled the Welsh outfit from 18th to 15th spot.

The visitors are now four points clear of the drop, meaning three more points at The Hawthorns tonight will see them leapfrog their opponents in the table by virtue of goals scored.

Their third-round exit against League Two Oxford United in the FA Cup last month means they have had three exta days to prepare for this match.

Team News:

The Swans have no fresh injury or suspension concerns, while Italian striker Alberto Paloschi could be in contention to make his debut for the club since his £8m January move from Serie A side Chievo Verona.

Baggies trio Chris Brunt (Calf), Darren Fletcher (Knee) and Ben Foster (Rib) are all 50-50 to feature, while midfielder Sandro is set for his league debut after joining on-loan from Championship outfit Queens Park Rangers.
