West Ham manager, Slaven Bilic has confirmed that he is considering a move for out-of-favour Man City striker, Wilfried Bony, as he looks to bolster his attacking ranks before the window closes.

The 27-year-old, rated at £30m, has fallen down the pecking order at The Etihad since the arrival of former Bayern Munich boss, Pep Guardiola and had been linked with a move to Arsenal earlier in the window.

Speaking ahead of the Irons second-leg Europa League play-off the Croatian manager said:

“He plays in the position we are looking for…He is a good player.”

The 47-year-old continued, “He is an option because he plays in the position where, even before the injuries, we tried to sign a player.”

The Ivory Coast international joined the Sky Blues in 2015 from Swansea, where he had bagged 35 goals in 70 appearances, form he has failed to replicate in Manchester, netting on 11 occasions over 46 games in all competitions.

The East London outfit will have to switch their attentions from transfers to on the pitch matters with their European play-off against Astra Giurgiu on Thursday night, at the London Stadium.
