Gylfi Sigurdsson could be on his way to the London Stadium this summer as West Ham United look to bring in the Swansea City star to bolster their midfield, according to the latest reports in The Mirror.

The Hammers face competition for the Iceland international’s signature as Everton are also said to be interested in acquiring his services with Ronald Koeman a big fan of the former Tottenham Hotspur player.

Despite Swansea struggling for much of the season Sigurdsson, who the club have rated at £30m, has been in fine form during this campaign bagging nine goals and eleven assists and helping them stay just above the relegation zone.

West Ham have already made one bid for Sigurdsson which was rebuffed by Swansea but are willing to make an improved offer as Slaven Bilic looks to find someone to replace Dimitri Payet, who departed for Marseille earlier this season leaving something of a void in the side.

Bilic will be looking to improve next season with his side having struggled at times during this campaign, although a mooted move for Wayne Rooney looks to be on the rocks.
