West Ham United are reportedly set to make a bid for Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez.

A host of Premier League clubs have been linked with a move for the Mexico international who is surplus to requirements at Old Trafford after spending last season on loan at Real Madrid.

And the Hammers, who have publicly expressed their desire to bring in a new forward, are preparing a offer of £12m for the 27-year-old.

The Irons were keen on QPR star Charlie Austin but have been put off by the Hoops’ £15m price-tag.

Should be a good move for all concerned providing that Louis the Lip buys a striker as Rooney isn’t one and it’s getting quite scary going into the new season with NO strikers.

Javier Hernandez was mostly used as a substitute. They can have him as a striker. Considering the fact that he hardly gets a chance, finding new pastures is a must. All the best for his future. A wonderful servant for ManUtd. Kudos to him!!!
