West Ham United and Everton have reportedly been offered the chance to sign up Croatia international star Mateo Kovacic this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The Premier League duo, who finished seventh and 11th in the English top-flight standings last term, are both understood to be interested in signing the midfielder from Real Madrid ahead of the 2016/17 season.

The 22-year-old, who has 29 international caps for his country and is currently with the Croatia national squad at EURO 2016, scored one goal and provided two assists in 34 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga giants last season.

Kovacic; who began his career at Dinamo Zagreb, but only arrived at the Bernabeu last August after sealing a move from Serie A outfit Inter Milan, is also said to be attracting interest from Juventus.

However the report suggests that the Croatian ace fancies a move to the Premier League, where he believes he can develop his career further.

Madrid are said to be willing to sell Kovacic for £30m, although a loan deal is also a possibility.
