2 Tottenham players who should get a chance v Chelsea

Tottenham are looking to put an end to Chelsea’s remarkable 13 match winning run at White Hart Lane this evening.

Should Mauricio Pochettino’s side manage to take at least a point from the west London side, they will stop Conte and his men breaking the winning streak record set by Arsenal.

Spurs go into the game off the back of a four match run of their own, with the last two being 4-1 away wins at Southampton and Watford respectively.

Having had a busy festive period, and considering the adeptness of the league leaders, Pochettino may be considering some changes to his side for the visit of the Blues.

Whilst changes may unsettle a side, it will give chances to those on the fringes of a squad to prove to the manager and the fans that they deserve a more lengthy run in the starting XI.

With that in mind, here are TWO Spurs men that deserve a chance against Chelsea tonight…

The former Newcastle man arrived for a hefty fee on Deadline Day last summer, and has yet to really prove his worth.

However, the France international, who shone for his country at last year’s European Championships, has shown flashes of what he can do, and clearly relishes a big game. He should get the nod to have a run at Chelsea.

Eric Dier

The England international has been shifted to a central defensive role as the season has gone on and should be given the chance to return to his favoured position against Chelsea.

Whilst the midfield duo of Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama have been excelling so far, Dier should be given a shot to win his place back in a big game.
