Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal have steadily improved their league position in recent years, culminating in a second place finish last season.

The Gunners pipped North London rivals Tottenham to second on the last day of the season, although still finished 10 points behind eventual champions Leicester City.

This season, Wenger’s side have recovered from a slow start, in which they won neither of their first two matches, to reel off five straight victories and jump up to third in the table.

They are just two points behind leaders Manchester City, but also find themselves behind Tottenham after seven games.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side are a point ahead of their local rivals, but there are a few Arsenal players that would walk into the Spurs side and reinforce their title bid.

Here are THREE players that would walk into the Tottenham team…

Alexis Sanchez

When you’ve got a player with the quality of Alexis Sanchez, he would walk into the majority of Premier League teams.

The Chile international made the move to the Emirates in the summer of 2014 for £30m, and he’s proving to the Arsenal hierarchy that it’s money well spent.

The 27-year-old netted 25 times in his first season at the club, and followed that up with 17 strikes last term.

He’s already started this one in fine form as well, scoring five times in all competitions, but it’s the fact that he’s playing as the frontman this time around which is most impressive, a position unusual to him during his time at Arsenal.

Sanchez has shown this season what an asset he’d be to any side in the league, including Tottenham.

Santi Cazorla

Santi Cazorla is one of the best technical players in the Premier League.

The Spaniard joined Arsenal for £15m in 2012 and, based on his Gunners career so far, that price looks like a bargain.

One hundred and twenty eight (128) league appearances and 25 goals later, he’s still as valuable to Arsenal now as he was when they signed him, even more so now he’s playing in that deep-lying midfield.

This could seriously benefit Tottenham. In Mousa Dembele and Eric Dier, they’ve got strong, powerful players adept at breaking up the play and keeping the ball when needed.

Dembele is technically better than Dier, but still retains that strength. Together, Dembele and Cazorla, with the latter focusing primarily on the keeping the ball moving and setting up attacks, could get the best out of each other and their teammates.

Mesut Ozil

Tottenham’s attacking midfield options are particularly strong, with Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli, Son Heung-min, and Erik Lamela all very good offensive players.

However, Mesut Ozil probably trumps them all.

The Arsenal man was widely regarded as one of the best players at Real Madrid when they decided to sell him to the Emirates outfit in 2013, and he’s continued to tear apart defences in England as well.

Although he has been through the odd barren spell, Ozil’s quality in the final third is second to none; his quick feet and excellent awareness gives defenders nightmares.

Fitting him into the Tottenham team may require a bit of a rejig, but he’s a player that would walk into many teams in Europe, including the Spurs team.
