3 Chelsea players who could star this weekend against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

Chelsea host Tottenham on Sunday, which is sure to be the game of the weekend in the Premier League, with managers Frank Lampard and Jose Mourinho going head to head once again.

The match will see top of the table facing third, giving the Blues the chance to leapfrog Spurs if they claim all three points at Stamford Bridge.

Mourinho’s men are sure to have other ideas though, the North London team are currently in top form and will be hoping to get a result on Sunday.

With such a massive game to look forward, we look at three Chelsea players who could star this weekend and be pivotal in bringing home three vital Premier League points.

Kai Havertz

Kai Havertz has not really hit the ground running in a Chelsea shirt in his first season with the club. Injuries have been the main problem for the Germany international and he is back and available for tomorrow’s match. Lampard has the difficult decision, whether or not to start the talented attacking midfielder, but either way we are backing Havertz to have an impact on this match.

Timo Werner

One Germany international who will definitely be starting tomorrow’s encounter is Timo Werner. The potent marksmen will bring Chelsea’s biggest goal threat at Stamford Bridge and will no doubt be in the mind of both Mourinho and his defence. The pressure will be on Werner to perform in such a big game, but the striker will be confident he can find the net as he has done so successfully already this campaign.

Edouard Mendy

Due to the marque signings Lampard made over the summer, much more focus has been put on Chelsea’s stellar attack. However, the biggest improvement since Chelsea’s poor form at the start of the season has been their defensive unit. A major part of that positive change has been the signing of goalkeeper Mendy. The shot stopper has been faultless in a Chelsea shirt and will be needed again on Sunday as he looks to keep out Harry Kane & co.
