England head into Wednesday’s Nations League clash against Denmark full of confidence after a 2-1 win over the world number 1 side Belgium at Wembley on Sunday.

Gareth Southgate’s side fell behind but a Marcus Rashford penalty and a deflected Mason Mount strike saw the Three Lions turn things around.

The win put England top of Group A2 and extended their unbeaten run t0 seven matches, six of which have been victories.

England came from behind to beat the top ranked nation.

With Southgate having used various players in the victories over the Belgians and Wales three days earlier, it will be interesting to see which XI he fields against the Danes.

But – based on individual performances in those games – here are three players we feel deserve a shirt at Wembley…

Kyle Walker

England’s defence was outplayed by Romelu Lukaku in the first half on Sunday. However, credit where credit is due, they regrouped at the break and put in a stronger second half showing as they helped secure the 2-1 win. England’s catalyst in the backline was Kyle Walker, who made up for his red card in the game against Iceland last month. The Man City man, who was playing on the right side of a back-three, used his speed to make some crucial, well-timed interceptions and led by example. Should guarantee he starts on Wednesday.

Jack Grealish

Aston Villa skipper Jack Grealish finally got his chance from the start against Wales last week and he grabbed the opportunity with both hands. The Villans playmaker was the Three Lions’ leading light on the night, playing with a real composure and confidence. As well as setting up Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s, the 25-year-old was not scared to carry the ball as he attempted to make things happen. Will be disappointed not to have featured against Belgium. To win major tournaments you need fearless players with a swagger and Grealish is certainly that.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Yes, Harry Kane is rightly the first choice centre-forward and the first name on the teamsheet when fit. However, having only been used as a substitute in the win against Belgium due to an injury worry, there would be no harm in letting the in-form Calvert-Lewin lead the line again. The Everton star scored on his debut against Wales and did well as the number 9 against a top-class Belgium side on Sunday. With 10 goals in eight matches for club and country this term, the 23-year-old is almost impossible to ignore at the moment.
