Liverpool are going great guns under manager Jurgen Klopp this season, his first full campaign in charge at Anfield.

The Reds have won six of their first nine Premier League matches, including five of their last six, and have beaten the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Leicester already this season.

Add into that draws against Tottenham and Manchester United, and Liverpool have more than matched their closest rivals for a place in the top four, and indeed the title.

Klopp’s side are also into the last eight of the League Cup following a 2-1 win over Tottenham on Tuesday night, with Daniel Sturridge netting both goals at Anfield to see off Mauricio Pochettino’s men.

Unsurprisingly, the mood around the red half of Merseyside is a positive one, with many hoping that Klopp can bring the title to Anfield for the first time since the top flight became the Premier League in 1992.

One of the question marks surrounding Liverpool is whether they can sustain a title challenge for the whole season, and Klopp may look to reinforce in January in a bid to make sure he has the squad capable to do just that.

Although they are the joint highest scorers in the Premier League so far, Klopp may look to bring in another forward, so here are THREE he could sign in January…

Alexander Isak

Highly-regarded and tipped to be the next Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Alexander Isak is destined for a big move sooner rather than later.

Having scored on his debut as a 16-year-old last February for AIK Solna, the Swedish Under-21 international has gone on to score eight more goals for the Swedish top-tier side, as they look to build on last year’s third place finish in the Allsvenskan.

Isak, who turned 17 last month, has been a mainstay in the starting eleven throughout the campaign, and has netted five goals in his last five league matches.

Unsurprisingly, he is attracting interest from across Europe, with Liverpool one of several clubs keeping tabs on the starlet.

A January move could be in the offing for the Swedish star.

Andrea Belotti

Liverpool and Arsenal are going head-to-head in a bid to land Torino forward Andrea Belotti, but it looks like it will be Jurgen Klopp who gets his man.

Belotti has been in great form since moving to Torino in 2015, netting 12 goals in his first season at the club, and adding a further seven already this term.

However, it has been the last six months that have really grabbed the attention of those around Europe, as he finished last season’s Serie A campaign with seven goals in his last 11 matches.

And, having transformed that form into this season, the striker could soon be making his way to the Premier League.

Inaki Williams

Not many people will have heard of Inaki Williams but, give it a few years, and everyone will know of the youngster.

The 22-year-old, currently of La Liga outfit Athletic Bilbao, worked his way into the Spanish side’s first team in 2014 after a string of impressive displays for their B team Bilbao Athletic.

He continued his development by appearing 37 times for the club last season, and netted 13 goals to help the club to a fifth-place finish in La Liga, and indeed the Supercopa de Espana title.

Williams’ meteoric rise has alerted a number of top clubs, and Liverpool are among those interested in securing his signature.

Although he signed a new deal, Klopp doesn’t appear to be put off by the release clause, which is reported to be €50 million.
