3 players Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta could sign after Premier League victory against Fulham

Arsenal got off to the perfect start in the Premier League with a 3-0 London derby victory over newly-promoted Fulham.

Goals from Alexandre Lacazette, new signing Gabriel and star forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ensured the Gunners continued their good form after winning the Community Shield and FA Cup.

In what was another positive performance under boss Mikel Arteta, the Gunners settled after some early pressure and picked off their opponents at Craven Cottage.

Although it’s just the opening match – and against a team adapting to the top-flight – the result will give fans added confidence that they will improve on their eighth-placed finish of last term.

As well as debutants Gabriel and Willian, who both impressed throughout, Arteta also added Cedric Soares and Pablo Mari on permanent deals this summer.

But, following this opening Premier League victory, who else could be moving to the Emirates before the transfer window shuts?

Here’s three players who have been linked with a switch to Arsenal in recent days…

Mounir Chouiar

According France Football, Arsenal are interested in signing Dijon striker Mounir Chouiar. The 21-year-old signed for his current club from Lens last summer and has since registered one assist and six goals in 26 appearances. It’s claimed that the Gunners are considering moving for the former France Under-19 international who’s said to be available for around £19million. However, it’s reported that they will face competition from both Wolves and Leeds for the left-sided attacker’s signature.

David Raya

The Sun report that Arsenal are ready to up their efforts to sign Brentford goalkeeper David Raya. The 24-year-old was a key player for the Bees last term as they reached the Championship play-off final. However, it’s thought the Spaniard could be on his way to North London with the Gunners readying a bid as high as £10million. Raya is expected to replace Emiliano Martinez who, according to Sky Sports, is set to move to Aston Villa after the two clubs agreed a £16million fee.

Odsonne Edouard

Despite having Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah as central striking options, The Sun’s former chief football writer and Transfer Window podcast’s Ian McGarry has claimed that Arsenal launched a bid for Celtic star Odsonne Edouard. The 22-year-old has been prolific for the Scottish champions since his move from Paris Saint-Germain, netting 67 times in 131 matches. It’s thought that strike rate has caught the eye of the Gunners who, after having a £15million offer rejected, are thought to be set raise that to £20 million with £2.5million in add-ons.
