3 players Manchester United could sign after completing Donny van de Beek transfer

Solskjaer's United seem to have won the race for Pellistri.

After securing Champions League football with a third-placed finish last term, Manchester United will now be aiming to close the gap to rivals Manchester City and Liverpool.

So far, boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has brought in one new face in the shape of Donny van de Beek.

The Netherlands international was signed by Ajax for a reported £35million and is expected to line up alongside Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes in an exciting midfield-three.

Van de Beek is United’s only summer signing to date.

But with the transfer window open until October 5th, it’s being reported that there could be more new arrivals at Old Trafford.

Here’s three players who have been linked with the Red Devils in recent days…

Jadon Sancho

According to Bleacher Report (via The Mirror), one of the year’s longest-running transfer sagas has taken a step in the right direction for Manchester United. It’s claimed that the Red Devils have come to an agreement with Borussia Dortmund to adopt a ‘respectful manner’ in talks over the transfer of Jadon Sancho. United were reported not to be happy at the amount of detail being leaked during initial negotiations between the two. Although this doesn’t guarantee that a deal for the England international will be done, it could path the way for a potential transfer.

Sergio Reguilon

Italian sports journalist, Fabrizio Romano, has reported on Twitter that Real Madrid’s Sergio Reguilon has been offered to Manchester United. Despite having Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams already competing for a left-back spot, it’s claimed that the Red Devils are considering signing the Spain international. The 23-year-old spent last season on loan at Sevilla where he beat United in the Europa League semi-finals on the way to winning the trophy.

Gareth Bale

A player who has been linked with a move to Old Trafford in the past and is being done so again is Gareth Bale. Spanish publication Marca report that the Red Devils have reignited their interest in the 31-year-old whose future looks uncertain at Real Madrid. The Wales superstar has been frozen out in recent times by boss Zinedine Zidane, making just 14 starts last season. Bale made a name for himself in the Premier League at Tottenham Hotspur before moving to Real for a then world-record fee of £85.3million in 2013.
