3 things to watch with Tottenham, Arsenal and Leicester playing Europa League matches tonight

3 things to watch with Tottenham, Arsenal and Leicester playing Europa League matches tonight.

Tonight marks the second round of Europa League Group games, following a successful string of results for English sides last time out.

The Foxes ran out 3-0 winners in their opener, with Spurs overcoming LASK by the same scoreline and Arsenal picking up all three points away in Vienna.

The Gunners will fancy their chances tonight against Dundalk in the 8pm kick off, whilst Spurs play in the earlier game against Antwerp.

Brendan Rodgers side will be hoping to improve on their impressive form by getting all three points against the less favoured AEK Athens.

Here’s 3 things to watch as the trio seek wins in Europa League action…

1: Bale from the start

Spurs manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed that one of the best players in the world, Gareth Bale is match fit and raring to start. He’s given the Wales international his much-wanted place in the first 11 and now it’s up to Bale to show what he’s made of. One would think the flying winger will be out to prove a point tonight, so we fear for the Antwerp defenders.

2: Arsenal selection

After a promising start, it hasn’t quite been ticking for the Gunners of late. A dissappointing loss at home to the Foxes at the weekend, has brought manager Mikel Arteta under some criticism for the way Arsenal play. With that in mind, Arteta will be wary of making too many changes tonight as he will know it’s vital his side take all three points tonight and bounce back with a positive performance and result.

3: Jamie Vardy to start

After coming off the bench to score the winning goal at the Emirates at the weekend, despite being half fit, it seems that Vardy will lead the line tonight. It comes as a little surprise, but the goal-getter is Rogers’ go to man and will be hungry for European football again. We are backing Vardy to continue his remarkable run of form and find the net for the Foxes tonight.
