A number of Premier League and Championship clubs are reportedly chasing international midfielders Darron Gibson and Aiden McGeady.

The likes of Aston Villa, Sunderland, Derby County and Middlesbrough have all been tipped to make loan bids for the Republic of Ireland duo, with Everton willing to allow them to leave Goodison Park during the January transfer window.

Gibson, 28, who joined the Toffees from Manchester United for a reported £500,000 back in January 2012, has played just 38 minutes of league football this season at Goodison Park.

Meanwhile McGeady, 29, who was sold by Celtic for £9.5m to Spartak Moscow back in 2010, has failed to make a single Premier League appearances under manager Roberto Martinez this term.

It is also understood that Championship rivals Brighton and Hove Albion are keen on bringing in McGeady to the Amex Stadium this month.
