£48m-rated striker Alvaro Morata is reportedly ready to reject a move to Arsenal in favour of joining one of their Premier League rivals, Manchester United or Chelsea, according to AS.

The 23-year-old, who is currently away with Spain at Euro 2016, is a Juventus player, but it is thought that Real Madrid will this summer exercise a buy-back option that was part of the deal when they sold the attacker to the Serie A champions in 2014.

That fee is thought to be around £24m, and the Spanish giants are then looking to double their money on the Spain international, with a number of Premier League clubs declaring an interest.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is keen to bring in a forward this summer, and it is thought that he is interested in the Spaniard as well as Leicester’s Jamie Vardy, although it is believed that Morata would prefer to link up with Jose Mourinho, who he worked with at Real, at Old Trafford, or move to Chelsea.
