France international Hugo Lloris will have to remain inside Tottenham’s wage structure if he wishes to sign a new long-term contract at the club, according to The Telegraph.

The 29-year-old, who has 84 international caps for his country and helped France reach the Euro 2016 final earlier this summer in his homeland, has kept six clean sheets in 13 appearances in all competitions for the Premier League side so far this season.

Lloris, who joined Spurs from Ligue 1 outfit Lyon back in August 2012, is understood to be happy to commit his long-term future at White Hart Lane, but chairman Daniel Levy refuses to pay any of his players over £100,000-a-week.

With three years remaining on his current deal, it is understood that the Frenchman is already earning £80,000-a-week.

The shot stopper is looking to follow the likes of Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Danny Rose and Kyle Walker by putting pen to paper on a new Tottenham contract.
