Arsenal travelled to Liverpool on the back of a 10-match unbeaten run in all competitions.

But despite heading to Anfield with high hopes, Mikel Arteta’s side were swatted away by the rampant Reds who ran out 4-0 winners.

In truth, Liverpool could’ve and would’ve scored more if it wasn’t for Gunners ‘keeper Aaron Ramsdale.

The stopper, who signed from Sheffield United in the summer, has been in brilliant form of late and made five big saves on Merseyside.

Ramsdale was in top form again at Anfield.

Following the defeat, Ramsdale took to social media to show his appreciation to the North London side’s travelling fans.

The 23-year-old posted on Instagram: “We learn from nights like that yesterday. We win together and lose together! Supporters I take my hats off to you again, top class! #COYG (p.s im all good 😂).

Ramsdale has become a fan favourite since arriving at the Emirates, keeping six clean sheets in 10 matches.

Gareth Southgate rewarded him for his form by handing him his senior England debut against San Marino over the international break.
