AFC Bournemouth are reportedly plotting a January swoop for Fulham striker Ross McCormack.

The newly promoted Premier League outfit, who lost 2-0 to league leaders Arsenal on Monday night, are keen to strengthen their attacking ranks in the New Year to aid their bid for survival during their debut spell in the English top-flight, with the Scotland international top of their wish list.

The 29-year-old, who has 12 international caps for his country, has scored 14 goals in 26 games for the Cottagers so far this season.

Cherries boss Eddie Howe is understood to have already contacted the Championship club regarding an enquiry over McCormack’s availability next month, with Fulham destined to be wanting to recoup the £11m they spent on the former Leeds United hitman last July.
