Bournemouth welcome a faltering Arsenal to Dean Court for Sunday’s early Premier League kick-off knowing that if other results go in their favour, they could leap as high as 13th.

The Cherries have lost just twice in their last 10 league outings, and are currently on a three-match unbeaten run – winning two, with a draw at Sunderland sandwiched in between.

Their 2-1 win at Crystal Palace during the week saw them move up to 15th – former Gunner Benik Afobe scored in that victory and has netted three in three since his £10 million move from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Arsene Wenger’s men have won just once in the league so far this calendar year – they are currently without a victory in four and have not scored in three outings, meaning the former league leaders are now fourth.

The North Londoners are also five points adrift of table-toppers Leicester City, who they face in a potential title showdown next weekend.

They were victorious when Eddie Howe’s men visited the Emirates Stadium in December – Mesut Ozil scored and assisted a goal each in a 2-0 triumph.

Team News:

Howe has no new concerns with regards to his squad – left-back Rhoys Wiggins is in contention to feature after returning to the club following spells with Charlton Athletic and Sheffield Wednesday.

Gunners midfielder Jack Wilshere is still out for another month, while Danny Welbeck lacks match fitness after recovering from a lengthy injury.
