Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has claimed the future of manager Arsene Wenger will hold no bearing on his future in north London and, according to reports from the Evening Standard, the German and teammate Alexis Sanchez are maintaining their demands for parity with Manchester United’s Paul Pogba in terms of his pay-packet.

The pair, who have been the crux of any Arsenal successes this season, both have contracts running until the end of next season and, whilst the likes of Hector Bellerin and Per Mertersaker have all agreed contract extensions, the main men have held off on new deals all season long.

The form of Ozil has been a sticking point for many Gunners fans in recent weeks, with many accusing him of going missing and not being worthy of the mega money deal, supposedly around £290,000 (on the level of Pogba), he is asking for.

Meanwhile, despite being dropped a Liverpool and being accused of having a fit on the training ground, Sanchez remains the pin-up for Arsenal fans.
