Manchester United are reportedly closing in on the signing of Croatia international forward Ivan Perisic, according to Calciomercato.
The Premier League side, who lifted the UEFA Europa League and the EFL Cup last term, have been continuously linked with a move for the Inter Milan winger this summer.
The 28-year-old, who has 57 international caps for his country, scored 11 goals and provided 12 assists in 42 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A outfit last season.
Perisic, who arrived at the San Siro back in August 2015 following his move from German outfit Wolfsburg, has netted 20 times in 79 games overall for Inter.
The report suggests Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho has grown frustrated with United’s long-winded pursuit of the left winger, with fellow forward Anthony Martial proving the stumbling block, as Inter want to secure the services of the France international on loan as part of the deal.
However, Calciomercato report Martial, 21, has now agreed to join the Italian club on loan for the forthcoming 2017-18 campaign, allowing United to complete a deal for £45m-rated Perisic.
The Red Devils have already brought in defender Victor Lindelof (Benfica), striker Romelu Lukaku (Everton) and midfielder Nemanja Matic (Chelsea) this summer transfer window.
