Antonio Conte will step down from his position as manager of Italy following Euro 2016 this summer.
The former Juventus, Siena, Atlanta and Bari boss has been heavily linked with the managerial vacancy at defending Premier League champions Chelsea at the end of the current 2015-16 domestic campaign, when interim boss Guus Hiddink will step away from his temporary role at Stamford Bridge.
Conte is the favourite to land the Chelsea managerial job this summer.
The 46-year-old, who led Juve to three successive Serie A titles between 2011 and 2014, was appointed national team coach of his homeland country back in August 2014 shortly after resigning at the Turin outfit.
Conte guided Italy to qualify for this year’s major international tournament (UEFA European Championships) in France as the Azzurri finished top of Group H, four points ahead of second-placed Croatia.
The former Italy international midfielder made over 500 playing appearances for Juventus between 1991 and 2004, winning five league titles and the Champions League (1996).
He also earned 35 international caps for his country and was part of the squad that was beaten by France in the final of Euro 2000.
