Arsenal and Aston Villa are both reportedly interested in taking Real Madrid forward Jese Rodriguez on loan.

The Premier League duo, who sit second and 18th in the table respectively, are both understood to be exploring the possibility of signing the former Spain Under-21 international during the January transfer window.

The 22-year-old, who has been with the La Liga giants since 2007, has only managed to make three league appearances under new coach Rafael Benitez so far this season.

Jese, who is yet to receive his first senior international cap, scored four goals in 23 appearances in all competitions for Madrid last term.
