Arsenal reportedly face stiff competition in their pursuit of Argentina international forward Gonzalo Higuain this summer, according to Gazzetta World.
The Premier League side, who eventually finished as runners-up in the English top-flight standings last term after pipping rivals Tottenham Hotspur to second spot on the final day, have been continually linked with a move for Napoli’s star striker ahead of the forthcoming 2016/17 campaign.
The 28-year-old, who has 63 international caps for his country, scored a remarkable 38 goals and provided three assists in 42 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A outfit last season.
Higuain, who finished as the Italian top-flight’s top goalscorer last term, has been a long-term target for Gunners boss Arsene Wenger ever since leaving La Liga giants Real Madrid back in 2013.
However the report suggests that Serie A champions Juventus have now also registered an interest in the Argentine’s services, who has a whopping €94.7m release clause.
