Arsenal travel to face League One side Port Vale in the third round of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.

Mikel Arteta’s side rescued a point against Manchester City in their last outing, courtesy of Gabriel Martinelli’s superb lobbed finish.

The Gunners now sit second in the Premier League table, although they are already five points behind reigning champions Liverpool.

Arsenal recruited heavily during the recent summer transfer window, with Noni Madueke, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Viktor Gyokeres among the players arriving at The Emirates.

Now, though, it appears that the North London side are one of a number of Premier League clubs chasing a Bundesliga defender.

As per CaughtOffside, both Arsenal and Man City are interested in Eintracht Frankfurt full-back Nathaniel Brown.

The report claims that the two Premier League sides are both closely monitoring the player, who is a former Germany youth international and primarily plays as a left-back.

Fellow English sides Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Manchester United are all also said to be interested in the 22-year-old, who scored against Union Berlin last time out.

Having progressed through the ranks fellow German side Nuremberg, Brown joined Eintracht last summer and has since forced his way into the senior side.

In total the German has now played 38 times for his current side across all competitions, including four appearances so far this term.

Brown’s contract with the Bundesliga outfit is set to run until the end of the 2029/30 campaign, but Eintracht Frankfurt could face a battle to keep hold of the left-back with several Premier League sides circling.

On the international stage, Brown has been capped 14 times by German Under-21s, scoring on one occasion.
