Arsenal fans are used to their annual slip, when around spring all hope usually fades from their season, however, this time around things seem to have gone too far.
With the Gunners sat in sixth and the futures of the manager and star players high up in the sky, reports emerged last month that a £200m summer overhaul was in the pipeline to get things back on track.
It seems now that the wheels on said overhaul of the squad are beginning to turn as, according to The Sun, the north Londoners are putting the feelers out with regard to a replacement for playmaker Mesut Ozil, who is yet to pen a new deal with just over a year left on his current contract.
As per the report the Gunners are targeting a move for fellow Germany international Max Meyer, who has been linked with a move to join Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.
The 21-year-old has struggled along with everyone else at club side Schalke this season, with just two goals and five assists to his name so far, however, has shown talent beyond his years since breaking into the Bundesliga, with 120 top flight appearances to his name already.
