Arsenal are reportedly the favourites to sign £1m-rated Accrington Stanley midfielder Josh Windass.
The 21-year-old, who is the son of former Hull City striker Dean, impressed last season for the League Two outfit but has proven himself to be a real goalscoring threat this term.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger watched the youngster in action in the FA Cup on Saturday, as he captained his side to a 3-2 win against York City, netting a penalty to take his tally to an impressive nine goals in 18 appearances in all competitions this term.
Windass’ contract at Stanley runs out next summer and he recently rejected a new deal as he looks to make a move to a higher level.
