Arsenal will need to beat Nottingham Forest on Saturday to keep alive their slim hopes of winning the Premier League title this season.

The Gunners, who topped the table for several months before being knocked off of top spot by Manchester City, are now relying on the Citizens to lose at least two of their last three games to have any chance of winning the title.

Mikel Arteta’s side have, though, qualified for the Champions League next season, with the Gunners set to compete in the competition for the first time in seven years.

Ahead of a European campaign next term, the north London outfit look set to bolster their squad this summer.

Now, it appears that they have had a huge boost in their pursuit of a Premier League star.

According to Football Insider, Brighton and Hove Albion are resigned to the fact that they may have to sell Moises Caicedo this summer if a suitable bid is received.

The Ecuador international has been in sensational form over the past 18 months, helping the Seagulls into sixth place in the Premier League table.

Caicedo looks likely to leave Brighton this summer

But his form hasn’t gone unnoticed, and Arsenal are set to renew their interest in the midfielder having initially tried to sign him in January.

The Gunners had at least one bid for Caicedo rejected in January, but the report claims that they are set to make another move for him this summer with Arteta looking to bolster his midfield options.

Caicedo, 21, joined Brighton from Ecuadorian side Independiente in January 2021 and was sent on loan to Belgian side Beerschot VA a few months later.

He returned to the south coast in January 2022, and has since impressed for the Seagulls.

In total he has made 50 appearances for the club including 40 across all competitions so far this term.

Following Arsenal’s interest in the player in January, the midfielder signed a new contract with Brighton that is set to run until 2027.

It appears increasingly likely that he will depart the south coast side before then, though, and Arsenal appear to be his most likely destination at present.
