Arsenal and Atletico Madrid are in contact over a potential deal for Thomas Lemar, according to reports.
The France international is out-of-favour at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium having started just nine league matches this term.
And RMC Sport report that the Gunners have approached Lemar and the La Liga side over a possible transfer.
However, it’s claimed that the player and the two clubs are not close to reaching an agreement at this point.
It’s thought Atleti are aiming to recoup the £52million they paid Monaco for the attacker in 2017 as they look to free up wages in order to sign Edinson Cavani from Paris Saint-Germain.
Lemar, who was part of France’s World Cup winning squad in 2018, has scored three goals in 64 matches since moving to Spain.
Previous to that he played a key part in the Monaco side which won the Ligue 1 title and reached the Champions League semi-finals in 2017.
