Arsenal have reportedly joined the race to sign Germany Under-17 international defender Josha Vagnoman, according to The Sun.

The Premier League side, who suffered a 1-0 defeat to North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, have been linked with a summer swoop for Hamburg’s highly rated full-back.

The 17-year-old, who has featured three times for Germany’s Under-17 side, has scored one goal in 13 appearances for the club’s Under-19 side so far this season.

Vagnoman, who can play at left and right-back, is understood to be valued at just £2.66m.

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are also said to be interested in signing Josha Vagnoman.

The report claims Arsenal’s head of recruitment, Sven Mislintat, has scouted the Hamburg starlet on numerous occasions this campaign.

However, The Gunners are not the only major club chasing Vagnoman’s signature, with Premier League rivals Chelsea and Manchester City, plus Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, monitoring the hot prospect.
