Arsenal are reportedly preparing to swoop for PSG forward Edinson Cavani.
The Gunners were tracking Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema all summer but the Frenchman yesterday tweeted: “For all those clowns who want to make believe things at my fans. Here this is my home ! #HalaMadridYNadaMas”.
Despite missing out on his top target though, boss Arsene Wenger is keen to bolster his attack after calling his side’s start to the season “average” following the 0-0 draw at home to Liverpool.
This has seen the London side look at Uruguay star Cavani, who has constantly been linked with a move to England.
However, Arsenal will have to pay more than the club-record £42.4 million shelled out for Mesut Ozil in 2013.
