Arsenal are reportedly ready to try their luck and lure Spain Under-21 international Marcos Llorente to English football, according to Don Balon.

The Premier League side, who currently sit third in the top-flight standings following five successive league wins on the spin, have been recently linked with the highly-rated Real Madrid midfielder.

The 21-year-old, who has one international cap for Spain’s Under-21 side, has provided one assist in six appearances in all competitions whilst on loan at fellow La Liga outfit Deportivo Alaves.

Llorente has made three first-team appearances for Real Madrid, but he was loaned to Alaves for the 2016/17 campaign, before starring in their remarkable 2-1 victory over defending league champions FC Barcelona last month.

However, it is understood that Zinedine Zidane’s side are keen on keeping hold of the central midfielder, with Llorente tipped to battle for a first-team spot with Casemiro next term, who is currently out injured with a fractured leg.
