Arsenal have reportedly rejected a loan offer from West Ham United for out-of-favour defender Kieran Gibbs, according to the Sun.
The Hammers are looking for an experienced full-back to fill in for the injured Aaron Cresswell, who has been ruled out for three to four months after suffering a knee injury during his club’s pre-season tour of Austria.
Slaven Bilic was keen to bring in the 26-year-old Gunners left-back on a temporary basis, but Arsene Wenger has turned down the proposal, with no cover available for the first-choice Nacho Montreal should the Englishman be allowed to leave the Emirates.
Gibbs has fallen behind the Spaniard in the pecking order with the north London outfit and is understood to be keen on a move away in search of regular first-team football.
Meanwhile, Bilic has seemingly turned his attentions to Norwich City’s Martin Olsson, after launching a £3 million bid for the Sweden international.
