Arsenal have reportedly signed England youth international defender Zech Medley on trial, according to the Daily Cannon.
The Premier League side, who currently sit joint-top of the English top-flight standings after defeating Swansea City 3-2 at the Emirates Stadium over the weekend, their sixth successive league victory, are said to be interested in the former Chelsea centre-half.
The 16-year-old, who played a full game against Fulham Under-18s last weekend, gifting the opposition an 85th minute penalty during the 1-1 encounter, has recently left the Blues, despite signing a scholarship deal back in July.
Medley, who can operate at centre-back and at left-back, has four international caps for England’s Under-16 side and had been at the Stamford Bridge outfit since he was aged eight.
Despite giving away a spot-kick, the highly-rated defender is set to be handed another chance to impress the Gunners when Arsenal face Reading in their next Premier Academy League tie on October 22.
