Arsenal kept their fine form going on Wednesday night as they cruised past Swiss visitors Basel at The Emirates, winning 2-0 to go top of Group A in the Champions League .
Whilst the result made it four wins from four for the Gunners, it was a brilliant night for Theo Walcott who has finally found a streak of form, bagging a brace in North London on Wednesday, off the back of a goal in the impressive 3-0 win over Chelsea last weekend.
The former Southampton man has never lived up to his real potential since his arrival from the South Coast ten years ago, however, his French manager has stuck by him and given him chance after chance, and it looks like it may be finally paying off.
The 27-year-old’s two goals capped a fine performance from Wenger’s side, and it is fair to say, Gunners fans were very impressed with their resurgent winger…

Walcott has really stepped up his game this season. Nothing better than that.

Others quickly turned to praise Le Prof for his loyalty…
Walcott owes Wenger, big time. Easily the most patient manager of a major club in world football.

Whilst one Gunners fan used the result to poke fun at their Premier League rivals…

However, form Man United midfielder, Roy Keane, was quick to bring everyone back down to earth…
Roy Keane on ITV last night says Walcott has had a good week & tells everyone to calm down. "Let's see if he can do it for 9 months." #afc
