Arsenal are reportedly considering a summer swoop for France Under-21 international striker Moussa Dembele, according to the Daily Star.

The Premier League side, who finished fifth in the top-flight table last term, one point adrift of fourth placed Liverpool in the race for UEFA Champions League qualification, have been linked with the Celtic hotshot if The Gunners are unable to keep hold of fellow forward Alexis Sanchez ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.

The 21-year-old, who has featured six times for France’s Under-21 squad, scored an impressive 32 goals and provided nine assists in 49 appearances in all competitions for the record-breaking Scottish Premiership champions last season.

Dembele, who only arrived at Celtic Park last June following his switch from Championship outfit Fulham, is a transfer target for Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger this summer, should he fail to convince Chile superstar Sanchez to stay at the Emirates Stadium before the end of the transfer window.

Arsenal have already landed fellow Frenchman Alexandre Lacazette in a club-record deal from Lyon.
