Arsenal are reportedly ready to offer Spain international forward Alvaro Morata a staggering £155,000-a-week contract this summer, according to The Sun.

The Premier League side, who finished second in the English top-flight standings, eventually 10 points adrift of unlikely champions Leicester City, have been continuously linked with a future swoop for the current Juventus star striker.

The 23-year-old, who has eight international caps for his country and is set to feature for Spain at this summer’s EURO 2016 finals in France, scored 11 goals and provided 12 assists in 46 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A champions.

Morata, who is set to return to Real Madrid this summer with the La Liga giants expected to activate the £25m buy-out clause in his current deal, is wanted by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger to spearhead his attack next term as they go in search of their first league title since 2004.

However the report suggests that Chelsea and Manchester United are also interested in Morata’s services.
