Arsenal are still reportedly chasing the marquee signing of France international starlet Kylian Mbappe, according to France Football.

The Premier League side, who finished fifth in the English top-flight standings last term, have been heavily linked with a move for the highly-rated AS Monaco hitman this summer.

The 18-year-old, who has four senior international caps already for his country, scored a remarkable 26 goals and provided 14 assists in 44 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 champions last season.

Mbappe, who is also attracting interest from Premier League rivals Liverpool, French giants Paris Saint-Germain and La Liga’s Real Madrid, has netted 27 times in just 58 games overall for Monaco.

However, the report claims the star striker held a three-hour meeting with Gunners boss Arsene Wenger back in mid-June, following France’s international friendly versus England, about a potential switch to North London ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.

Arsenal have already had a £87m bid rejected for the French gem, and have been told to splash out a whopping world-record fee of £130m for his services.
