Arsenal are on the verge of finalising yet another contract extension this season, with Laurent Koscielny the next in-line to sign on the dotted line, according to reports from French outlet L’Equipe.

As per the report the France international is set to agree an extension within days, which will keep him at The Emirates until at least 2020.

The 31-year-old has supposedly been in negotiations with the club since the end of last season, and his form this term will have left them in no doubt he is deserving of a new deal.

Alongside summer signing Shkodran Mustafi, the former Lorient man has formed a formidable back line, helping the Gunners to fourth in the Premier League after 11 games.

Such has been their form together that the Gunners are yet to lose this season with the Frenchman on the pitch as he sat out the opening day defeat to Liverpool, having been given an extended break after his exploits at the European Championships over the summer.

The central defender, who has made 262 appearances for the North London club since his arrival, has won two FA Cups and two Community Shields with the club but will be desperate to add to that after extending his stay.
