Arsenal are reportedly weighing up a summer swoop for France international forward Karim Benzema, according to Don Balon.
The Premier League side, who finished fifth in the top-flight standings last term, one point adrift of Liverpool in the race for UEFA Champions League qualification, have been continuously linked with a move for the Real Madrid striker during previous transfer windows.
The 29-year-old, who has 81 international caps for his country, scored 19 goals and provided nine assists in 48 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga champions last season.
Benzema, who arrived at the Bernabeu back in July 2009 following his switch from Ligue 1 outfit Lyon, has netted 181 times in 365 games overall for Madrid, lifting three Champions League crowns and two league titles, among other honours.
However, the report suggests Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is ready to go all out in a bid to lure Benzema to the Emirates Stadium this summer if fellow forward Alexis Sanchez decides to leave.
Paris Saint-Germain have been heavily linked with the Arsenal star’s services.
