Arsenal are reportedly willing to sell Mesut Ozil to FC Barcelona ahead of the upcoming January transfer window, according to AS.

The Premier League side, who suffered a 1-0 defeat to Bundesliga outfit FC Koln in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night, have been linked with offloading the Germany international star to the La Liga giants in the New Year market.

The 29-year-old, who has 88 international caps for his country, has scored one goal and provided three assists in 10 appearances in all competitions for The Gunners so far this season.

Ozil, who arrived at the Emirates Stadium back in September 2013 following his then club-record £42.5m switch from Real Madrid, has netted 33 times in 171 games overall for the North London club.

However, the midfielder’s contract expires in June 2018, with Ozil refusing to commit his future to Arsenal.

The report suggests the German gem wants potential suitors Barcelona to stump up €370,000-a-week (£329,559-a-week) for him to arrive at the Nou Camp in January, with manager Arsene Wenger open to an offer from the Spaniards, just as long as Ozil doesn’t join Premier League rivals Manchester United next summer on a free transfer.
