Arteta will be backed this summer.

Arsenal’s Predicted XI: We predict Mikel Arteta’s starting XI as the Gunners host Champions League chasing Leicester City.

After a shaky start since football returned, Arsenal have won their last four matches, scoring ten goals and conceding just one in the process.

That run included an impressive 2-0 away win against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the weekend, with manager Mikel Arteta very impressed with his team’s performance.

This evening sees their return to the Emirates where they will be hosting third place Leicester City in what should be a mouth-watering clash.

How will Arsenal line-up as they look to beat the 2016 Premier League champions? Here we predict Arteta’s XI…

Goalkeeper: Martinez will start again in goal, having performed well since coming in for the injured Bernd Leno. The Argentinian will be hoping to stake a claim for a starting spot next term.

Defenders: Arteta Has a difficult decision on his hands as he weighs up consistency with resting players who are playing a lot of football matches. However, with such a big game ahead tonight we expect him to stick with a back four of Sead Kolasinac, David Luiz, Skhodran Mustafi and Cederic Soares.

Midfielders: Another controversial player Matteo Guendouzi will probably find himself out the side again, having been dropped by Arteta. Bukayo Saka will get the nod again, after making an impressive start since lockdown. Dani Ceballos should also get the a starting having performed well in recent matches. Granit Xhaka is likely to make up the Arsenal midfield as Arteta attempts to try and get some sort of consistency in terms of personnel to this Arsenal side.

Forwards: Alexandre Lacazette is likely to start this game with Eddie Nketiah missing out. And club captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will come back into the side. That leaves Nicolas Pepe on the right, who will be hoping to build on his goal he got at the weekend.

Predicted XI: Martinez, Soares, Luiz, Mustafi, Kolasinac; Xhaka, Ceballos, Saka; Pepe, Aubameyang, Lacazette
