The Premier League champions kicked off their first ever Champions League campaign in spectacular fashion last night with a monumental 3-0 against Club Brugge on Wednesday night.
Plenty had cast doubt over the Ranieri’s side’s chances in Europe’s top competition, doubts that were largely put to bed in Belgium as the Foxes ran riot, having not at all been phased by the stage they were playing on.
Winger Marc Albrighton, who was released by Aston Villa in 2014, opened the scoring with just five minutes on the clock after a mistake from the home ‘keeper left the goal gaping wide, which sent fans on Twitter into raptures…
What a moment for Marc Albrighton who becomes the first @LCFC player to score in the @ChampionsLeague. #UCL https://t.co/5Jf5kqK82c

If taking the lead in their first ever Champions League game, especially away from home, wasn’t good enough then last season’s Player of the Year, Riyad Mahrez, took it into his own hands to make the night even more special for Foxes fans…
Welcome to the #UCL @Mahrez22! What a free-kick. https://t.co/9dJHKpofcr
