Aston Villa and Bournemouth have both had last-ditch moves for former Manchester United and West Ham United ace Ravel Morrison turned down, according to Talksport.

The Premier League duo have both had approaches blocked by Serie A side Lazio for the attacking midfielder during the January transfer window.

The 22-year-old, who is a former England Under-21 international, has made just seven first-team appearances for the Italian outfit this season.

It was thought that Lazio were willing to offload Morrison during the current transfer window, but it now seems the club have performed a dramatic U-turn, halting Villa and Bournemouth’s late pursuits.

Morrison came through Manchester United’s youth ranks, making just three first-team appearances at Old Trafford, before joining West Ham United in January 2012.
