Aston Villa looking to snap up five-time Premier League champion

Aston Villa are reportedly ready to hand Serbia international Nemanja Vidic a return to the Premier League this month, according to The Sun.

The Villans, who currently lie ten points adrift of safety at the very bottom of the league standings, are keen on signing the former Manchester United defender for the remainder of the campaign.

The 34-year-old; who has 34 international caps for his country, made 300 first-team appearances for the Red Devils between 2006 and 2014, winning the Premier League title five times at Old Trafford.

Vidic, who is also attracting interest from MLS outfits in America, is a free agent after leaving Serie A side Inter Milan by mutual consent earlier this month after his spell at the San Siro was plagued by fitness problems.
