Name: Charles N’Zogbia
Position: Winger
It would be fair to say that despite being at Villa Park for four-and-a-half years, Charles N’Zogbia’s spell in the Midlands has been nothing short of a disaster for both parties, and it could come to an end this month.
The Frenchman has played just 63 times for Villa since making a £9.5m move from Wigan in the summer of 2011, scoring a measly five goals, and when you take the transfer fee and his wages into consideration, it was reported recently that the winger has cost the Premier League strugglers around £5 million per goal.
The 29-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Greece and AEK Athens, where he would link up with former Brighton and Sunderland manager, Gus Poyet, as well as a transfer to the MLS, but whatever the destination proves to be, it would undoubtedly leave supporters of the relegation-threatened club delighted.
N’Zogbia has made just two appearances this term, and Villans boss Remi Garde said the midfielder “could have given more” in his first few weeks in charge.
