Player of the Round: Kelechi Iheanacho (Manchester City)

It was a stunning performance from 19-year-old Kelechi Iheanacho, who drove Manchester City to their 5-1 victory over Crystal Palace. The talented teenager set up Kevin De Bruyne to score City’s second before making it 3-0 himself with a low drive. He continued to star as the host’s main attacking threat along with De Bruyne, as he turned provider again for Manuel Pellegrini’s side’s fifth.

Team of the Round: Middlesbrough

Sheffield Wednesday deserve a mention after their great win over Arsenal, but we have just opted for Middlesbrough with this one as it’s not easy to win at Old Trafford. Although they didn’t manage to do so in 120 minutes, the Championship side held the nerve in the shootout to send Louis van Gaal’s side crashing out of the competition to lower league opposition for the second season in a row.

Goal of the Round: Jon Walters (Stoke City)

Stoke further piled the misery onto Chelsea but there’s not much Jose Mourinho could have done about Jon Walters’ stunning effort. Glenn Whelan picked the ball up and drove through the Blues midfield before picking out his fellow Irishman on the edge of the box, before he teed the ball up, turned and thundered a fantastic effort in off the underside of the bar.
